Changes to BOSIET, HUET & FOET entry requirements from march 26th 2018

Personnel attending for BOSIET/HUET/FOET training from 26 March 2018 must be in possession of an offshore medical plus a fitness to train certificate to allow them to participate in the shallow water training element of the course. All Oil & Gas UK approved medical examiners have been provided with the criteria for assessing this fitness by the Oil & Gas UK medical advisor. Delegates who are in the possession of an offshore medical issued after 1/1/2017 by a NOGEPA medical advisor/doctor are already examined according to this method.   Candidates that have been unsuccessful in passing the OGUK ‘Fit to Train” assessment will be issued with an OGUK ‘Unfit to Train’ certificate. Delegates that fall in this category will be eligible to complete their selected course with the ‘dry’ CA-EBS training, but will not take part in the in-water CA-EBS exercises. Certification will not be affected if only dry training received.
